I have a great landlord. I do the repairs and take good care of the place and have very low rent that he has not raised once in 15 years. I do not bother him and he does not bother me. We are both happy with the arrangement.

Careful, you’re charting into unpopular territory. If you rent a property, the majority of ACs here think you’re entitled and a scumbag. It’s apparently frowned upon to be successful here. I, much like your landlord, have never raised the rent on my property and do all the repairs in a timely manner. There are many bad, and many good. But when you just want to call everyone bad because they ones you knew were, that type of generalization is becoming society norm.

Nevertheless, this is a prime case of corruption to the nth degree. there is still oversight for "landlords" who are felonious and fraudulently attempting to use HUD to commit further felonies via entrapment, etc.

There's most likely waaay more to this story, involving a snake pit of corruption.

The question is, WHO or what entity had knowledge of this fradulent "landlord" and "allowed" it, under the umbrella of HUD?

If I had a handyman as a renter I can certainly drop rent for his services if I need them. She is signing a contract for sex work in a state where this is legal, she should put this on her taxes as income.

section 8 HUD does NOT always pay the entire amount of the rent.
Depending on your income, it may pay 800 of the 1000 you owe each month for your housing. HUD expects you to make a legal income to make up the difference.

If I mowed the yards of the landlord for the difference of the $200 each month I would not be extorted. I provide a legal service for money. (income=$200/month)

if you lived in Oregon and agreed by contract to provide 1 OZ of weed a week for your rent, it is legal.

if you lived in Texas and agreed to provide 1 oz a week for rent the entirety contract would be illegal.
