I remember buying his fabled Verses book in the NYC Twin Towers bookstore in the shopping center down below, right after its publication in 1988. There was piles of this book displayed in the store.

I remember hearing about him in the mid 2000s. Padma Lakshmi from Top Chef was married to him briefly. I couldn't figure that one out. She is gorgeous.

A man stormed the stage as the famed novelist was about to give a lecture at the Chautauqua Institution, an arts and education centre
Rushdie was treated on stage then taken to hospital by helicopter

In a statement, police said a male suspect ran up onto the stage and attacked Rushdie and an interviewer.

A State Trooper assigned to the event immediately took the suspect into custody.

Sad, great writer, Satanic Verse ls was awesome, Midnight's Children maybe even better. Hope he survives, he went off stage by himself after the attack but brought to hospital by helicopter...

They said upon being stabbed his butt began to let out queefs. It supposedly sounded like someone letting air out of a balloon slowly. Like a high pitched "peeeeeeeeeew!"

Rushdie appears in an episode, telling Larry that having a Fatwa gets you more women.

The reason why ISIS got to be such a big problem and why many westerners flocked to join is because they were winning.

I bought one years ago, never got around to reading it, then I wanted to read it I couldn’t find it and still can’t.
