I was curious if I could stop a 5.56 x 45 (AR-15) with two applesauce bottles taped together at the lids, and filled with water. Test successful, sorta. The bullet slowed down but didn't shatter like they normally do when they hit a steel plate at 3000 fps

What to shoot...Same dilemma I always find myself in...

Shake up half a bottle cheap soda, that should make a mess!
Don't waste proper Coke, etc.
Could try putting Mentos in it before putting the cap back on.

Get 3 to 4 different colour sodas, put 4 half bottles behind each other and shoot.
Do above with frozen water, different colours behind each other.
Use smaller bottles if you haven't got room on the shelf.

My boys and I would stop and buy whatever was on sale, on the way to the range in the forestry...They are fub to shoot!

Dude. Shooting paper indoors was bad enough. Shooting those steel spinners will create so much fucking lead dust. Your damaging your health.

The idea of bits of feathers everywhere entertains me and leaves me grinning and giggling.

You need to watch some Demolition Ranch youtube videos. That guy does all kinds of fun stuff like this.
