My triple jabbed sister-in-law recently went on one of the expensive european river cruises . They had to quarentine for two weeks before going . Only jabbed allowed . She returned with covid . Was sick for two weeks .

We cruise, but never see any of the nasty people. If any walk into the areas we are in, and see the drink prices, and the way people in these areas are attired, they walk straight out and never return. Then again, you will really never see any of us in the beer bars, at the deck parties, and certainly not anywhere after about 12:30 pm when we are on our private balconies stargazing with a nice pour. At that time, the nasties are in the nightclub, surrounded by security, twerking. We never see security in our areas, unless someone has a medical emergency, then their fellow passengers tend to them until medical arrives (sadly, an elderly gentleman slipped and hit his head once. That is the only medical emergency I have personally witnessed).

TBH, most of them just never go to these areas because word is out that most of the ships are a tale of 2 cruises -- First Class and Steerage. It is just that the separations are subtly presented in the marketing.

Even when you fly to a destination, there will be a tale of 2 resorts from what I understand, if you are at a sandals type place. If you are at the The Ritz Carleton Club, St. Thomas, that is a different story. Very nice place and well worth saving up to go.

, Cruises are like being in a prison with a chance of drowning, being raped or robbed and contracting parasites from the "crew" picked up off shore from third world countries as needed.
I think they want to take the spotlight off of covid anyway as its becoming too noticeable that kids and sports heros are dropping like flies due to "heart"problems...while airlines have a problem staffing since many staff left under the mandate and pilates are passing out at the wheel with "heart problems"; and we are noticing we are attending more and more funerals and more empty desks at work.
