.
Well done!

Personally I worry most over psychos ~
as in those around us,
especially predatory men...

I can take death and Skyfall
but 99,999% of other people disgust me!

Their stupid thoughts, weakness,
draining energy vampires,
narcissists, mental illness, etc

I read horror stories from New Orleans
as people got pushed into sports stadiums
after Katrina flooding...

Locked in with r@ppists, killers,
mentally ill who's without medicine.
Addicts, druggies with delerium...

Many men use / abuse women in dire stress.
Chivalry is dead,
as many are addicted to {{{Their P.0.®.N.}}}
which program men to be abusive...

{{{ Their P.0.®.N. }}}

[link to radiochristianity.com (secure)]

The hatred of women is extreme nowadays,
just read posts online,
threads full of men hating women,
any thread here with female words in title
gets flooded with raw bullying & abuse...
and such men turn psycho in a crises.

A predator is never as charming
as when it's hungry...

They lovebomb you, then they strike...

So never drop your guard!

Re: I made a bug out bag
Very good, although a "tactical" style bag with Molle webbing all over it will make you a "person of interest" to many different groups and individuals. I prefer to have multiple bug out bags, and typically gravitate towards more low visibility type bags, like your typical student backpack.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70803932

Maybe 20 years ago that would have been true but not so much now.

They sell bags with MOLLE all over them at Ross.

My main pack is a surplus multicam medium ruck with the small external frame and it just looks like beat up military surplus unless and until it's on my back over my plate carrier combat shirt and head to toe multicam.

But if I'm wearing all that you can bet I've got either my shorty AR pistol or my 16" AR slung and a Glock riding high on one hip.

At which point people can feel free to try to take my shirt, really it's fine I have another couple hundred rounds on stripper clips to refill my ready mags with and could use extra moving target style practice.

I get the feeling that at least half the people here who talk about people taking other people's shit are people who think they don't need to bother to prepare because they can just TAKE from those who wisely chose to prepare.

If that's the case and you're one of those people please do realize that the people who have chosen to prepare and gotten themselves ready for what's coming have long since made the decision that their stuff and their survival is worth WAY MORE THAN YOUR LIFE!

Most people who have chosen to prepare don't want to have to hurt much less kill anyone... (I didn't spend more than $1000 on medical gear etc solely for myself. If I see someone who needs help I will absolutely help them).

But we will hurt or kill people if we have to.

Realistically though, I have a dozen loaves of white bread in my freezer plus the stuff to make my own white bread after that's exhausted and a shocking amount of peanut butter and jelly as well as other stuff in my supplies SPECIFICALLY so I can help people who need my help when the time comes.

This isn't a survival video game, this is real life.

In real life community and trying to retain your humanity in the face of inhuman situations is my goal and should be most of your goals too.

If you try to bush whack me I'll leave you leaking dead where you fall... If you approach me peacefully and ask for help there's an overwhelmingly good chance that I'll just help you out from my own stocks or do my best to help you find a way to get what you need.

It kinda scares me how much negativity most people here are looking at the approaching situation with.

Just because we're headed into bad and trying times does not mean that we automatically have to become bad and selfish people.

In reality, trying times are what bring the best out in Many.

Where you planning on bugging out to when it's SHTF?
 Quoting: The_Gardener

To my camper if I have to, it will be parked out in the country. It’s being winterized right now.

Bugging in is my first.
If that fails, I’ll grab my bug out bag and get to my camper.
Most food preps will be at the camper.

Ive met people on a prep site and then those close to where I live formed our own group and are talking about things.

Everything is pointing to this Fall. I’ve been prepping hard since June.

Re: I made a bug out bag
How do you plan to fortify your home if you bug in?
 Quoting: ^Mike

Not much, it’s an apartment, that’s why I’ll take off to my camper, it’s out of town on private property. That’s the best I can do, but I’ll have lots to bring to the table.
 Quoting: -Kate-

If you but out you'll take off to the camper? Is it mobile or in a safe enough area? And if you bug in the apartment do you have a kit to seal up the doors and windows or anything for barricading them?

Maybe it's safer in Canada but in the states most places will probably be like the Purge.

Do you have food, water, solar radio, shit like that?
 Quoting: ^Mike

First I’m out of the city and moved for a job to a smaller town in May, so it’s better. However, if it’s food they are going after and people become hungry, it won’t be safe here either. That’s why I’m doing something with my camper right now, putting in a small wood stove and stocking up on propane as well.

Yes I have food, working towards a years supply. I’m roughly following a list. I’ll post it.

Here

I do have water stored and I bought a berkey, I want to still get additional filters for it, they’re expensive!

My solar, crank rechargeable radio is on my bug out bag, you can see it, it’s hanging on a clip.

You'll die of old age before you ever use that bag, the elites need things to stay stable if they want to succeed with their agenda of obscene wealth and globalization.

If anything, instead of a collapse I'd say a militarized state is more likely. You can try and bug out if that ever happens but unlimited military resources are going to be a bitch to circumvent.

Stock up on some foods that need little if any cooking or water. Canned baked beans, tuna, salmon, crackers, peanut butter. Other canned meats, canned chili, turkey, chicken.

Keep most of that stash in your camper. If you need to hike a distance, dig a hide hole along the way with the above and water.

US army style poncho/shelter half. Keeps you dry on the move or camping or use as ground cloth in good weather. Do not buy surplus (used) they're always patched and leak. Cabela's makes good ones.

the best advise I or anyone else can give you, is to train with what you have. Take a long walk everyday wearing your pack loaded out to get use to the weight and make weekly trips to the gun range to train so you will be 100% comfortable with your firearms.

Re: I made a bug out bag
Not afraid of what is to come. The Christ is my bug out bag.

Right now my neighbour to the north lost her husband to a heart attack, she needs a hand or will wind up in the old folks home. Mom and I are helping how we can. My neighbour to the west has gotten a heart condition murmers. On some heavy meds with bad side effects. Neighbour to the east has legs so swollen he can barely move. His yard that was always tidy is a mess. I dont have time to help them all. They are all vaxxed.
The guy to the east knew about the problems with the vaxx but caved when travel was taken away from him. Lots of work. Friends and family are vaxxed. Many are starting to realize the truth and are in denial or affraid. I did what I could to warn them some even to the point of effecting our relationship. Even so, now I feel I should have done more...
some blame me for not doing more. I understand its coping mechanisms for grief.

Really down today but thats just a feeling, Truth is found in the word and the end is certain by the victory of and in the Christ.

Just want to encourage all believers that now is the time to become the beings that you were created to be.

Anything is possible in the Lord and you were made for this time.

I would fill a bag with bibles along with the preps. Oil for the lamp and press the word upon upon the heart sharper than any blade as this is all that matters.

That's a great kit, Kate.

We have a set very similar to yours with basic "on your own" necessities and tools.

Not with intention to live indefinitely in the backwoods, but to be able to transition safely, successfully and with as much comfort as possible from a high-risk situation to a low-risk situation if that becomes necessary, over a period of many hours or a few days.

Our kits are focused more around the idea of transport and temporary lodging or for being able to make do in case of being stuck in a train station or bus depot for hours (or days) because transportation has been disrupted... also on being able to live out of our vehicles for a few days if needed.

We have other, longer-term supplies as well, but like you, they are centered around portable habitation in a camping trailer.

One item I might suggest for your BOB is a "water key" - it's a special handle for opening water spigots, the kind that are typically found on building fronts and back-alleyways for businesses, who don't particularly want hobos to be opening the faucets and letting them run... you know, the kind with no handle. I don't believe any reasonable business, during an actual emergency, would have any issue with one of us opening that spigot just long enough to fill a water bottle and keep moving. Doesn't weigh much or take up a lot of room - could be an invaluable source of hydration. Just a thought.

For other great inspirations check out a website called "Listening to Katrina" which has a lot of great info and after-thoughts on successfully managing a forced emigration from a disaster area. The part many people fail to really think about is what happens after they have left the disaster area, and are now in a place of relative safety - do you get to go back? Or do you now have to start your life over in this new place? And do you have with you the crucial elements to manage that transition effectively? Great food for thought.

Army surplus canteen and stainless canteen cup. I dont see a water filter either. Most people get knives are too big. Don't get a folding knife but one with a through tang for strength, blade only needs to be 2 1/2 - 3" long. Don't forget a portable sharpener. Blades dull quickly with use. Spare blades for your folding saw are another must have. do you have an emergency sewing kit? How about some paracord? Good on you for preparing. We all learn as we go. preserve civilization for me will you?
 Quoting: FlashBuzzkill

Thanks for the additional ideas! I was thinking about a canteen instead of the water bottles in the bag. I have tablets and a life straw in the bag.

Book I of The Law of Nations, Chapter XIX, § 212 (Joseph Chitty numbering) – “Citizens and natives”
reads: 'The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to
its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in
the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by
the children of the citizens

their rights.' 1758 Emerich de Vattel

You are smart to consider things.

In the beginning I bought all kinds of stuff, even a motorcycle.

But now I will just keep a knife and a water filter straw.

Since I can't afford to cover every possibility, I will live as long as I can adapt to whatever happens, or as long as I care to.

Let THE CREATOR sort it out!
