My friend and I are calculating velocities, pressures, agitation factor: Power required ( P ) = Np x rho x N^3 x D^5, and a host of other calculations on water filled targets I'm building. Then I film it in slow motion, they are awesome... I'm using food dye to color the water, ice, or the burst one in a container of clear water, to see the results of the dispersion, agitation pressure, and explosive fun! All in slow motion HD video!! Nice! Share your videos if you feel comfy enough! All I know about the ho made ones I just got is that they are 800 feet per second. I'm just going to shoot 1 without ear protection so I know what to expect. The fun starts at high velocity. A .45 acp is 800fps and while still fun to shoot water or ice targets, wait until you shoot a 7.62 X 54 or any size shell length, or a 5.56 x 45 AR-15 round. Those velocitis are up around 2000-3000+ fps, with foot pounds (torque) increasing with the size of the projectile...12 ga 3" magnum .65 Caliber slugs at 1.5 oz or more, will top everything else I wrote...I have 12ga 3" mag. double slug shells, meaning two .65 cal lead balls producing over 3,100 ft/lbs of torque! I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked.  |
