I thought I was the only one who noticed this. I was at the beach last week in NYC and saw a clear half-moon at around 2:30-3:15 PM. I said to my wife "that's odd to see the moon visible so early (it gets dark here around 8:15 PM). Normally you'd start to see the moon around dusk, which would be between 6:45-7:30 PM if it gets dark at 8:15 PM. But this was 3 PM. Pretty strange. What do you make of it?

Bravo! There are other simple proofs but that is a good one. So calculating the radius of the flat Earth tropics the Sun would need to travel almost 30% faster at the Tropic of Capricorn. That would mean the day would be shorter and the night would be longer, like 9 hours of Sun and 15 hours of darkness.

Meanwhile the magnetic field protects us from solar winds , the also is not perfect . Eventually ( if the sun didn't go Nova first ) the Earth would lose its atmosphere ; however would take a very long time
