There was an obese depressed lady on YouTube who did 3x 40-day water fasts back-to-back (with Passover/ceremonial feasts in between them).

It took weeks of sickness for it to start really altering her, but she became basically a skeleton and her whole personality was transformed. Even when she got back to a healthy weight she was a different person, happy and pretty.

She took down the videos because people were copycatting her and it was dangerous (you could see her skull and eye sockets).

I went for 40 days on water only a couple of years ago and dropped 33 lbs. No solid food whatsoever. Felt great. Made it a point to do yoga the entire time.
The transformation was visible. I also felt very good mentally, sharp and had no problem cooking dinner each night for my husband without eating it myself.
If I felt weak or dizzy I’d suck on a lemon or lime slice with a bit of salt on it.

It’s not a high , it’s energetic and very clear headed that you feel when fasting.

I'd need a "baby sitter" though. I'm not gonna chance getting locked up in a mental ward because of low blood sugar... and stupid people around me.

Fasting has many benefits.

It's probably the body's way of keeping people alive when they are starving. When the person hasn't had food for days, the body kicks in production of natural opioids so the person can feel good enough to hunt or fish or find food.

I try to do a 7 day fast every month.

I dunnon about "high" but you certainly get a jedi-like state of awareness. The sense of smell, sight, hearing, touch feels like it goes to a super human level. I even experience an increase in strength. Never knew fasting causes an increase in HGH production as well which I guess is the reason for the strength increase.

Gonna attempt 14 days next. Mainly I love how much money I save on food and knowing I'm healing the body.

Yup, It returns us to our natural state. We really are so of in our daily life as to what we can be.

I've tried it, and I'm like you. I get really shaky, and light headed.

I'll just stick with intermittent fasting....because it makes me happy.

I wouldn't recommend doing this cold turkey if you're not use to it...start with eating only veggies and fruits and nuts for a few days first...get the junk food out first so it's not such a shock

FASTING is about sacrifice (hunger PANGS) to grow communications with God.

If you're NOT praying and talking to God when you fast, you're doing it WRONG.

It's called hunger PANGS (painful EMOTION) not PAINS (physical SENSATION) for a reason.

you need to know how to do full bowel purge properly!

first 3 days are the toughest, headache and body aches
possibly and nervousness during withdrawal and craving

after those 3 days the body rewires itself for new fuel sources and breakthrough energy burst because again no energy is spent on digestion any longer...

after the burst of being high which could last a few days you may look down on food as mostly fucking junk, especially snacks and junk food, sugar etc.

restart the diet gradually with good food.

My powers showed up slightly when I stopped masterbating for about two months and yes fasting helps much too. God made me finally fast a couple years ago. It was all Him.

December I was 300. From Dec 14th until late Jan I ate one meal per week. Then from early Feb until Easter I ate one meal every 48 hours. Then went to omad. I’m 198 right now. Fasting is incredible. However, the leaner you get the harder it is to actually go for the long fasts. At least for me. My body is fat adapted right now it’s a fat burning machine. I gotta hit a 3 or 4 day fast again soon.

It is highly underrated in our consumer society.

My longest was 5 days. I started getting tachycardia and I got scared and stopped. I have since added electrolytes when doing (trying). I am at about 2 days longest now.
