This is another one of those things that fuck up the head of someone who doesn't understand means/medians etc.

The 2nd Rainiest Day IN A PLACE WHERE IT NEVER RAINS. Doesn't mean dick.

And Since it never rains there...using the average amount of rain fall doesn't mean a lot.

The Standard Deviation of rainfall would a better statistic to understand how much more or less it rained.

It's sad that algebra confuses so many people these days.

Regardless of statistics and "algebra", looks like a lot of rain to me!

Jaco reported that we're heading into a freezing cold winter (start of an ice age) proceeded by intense heat (this summer). Might be a good time to get a head start for winter by purchasing a few Mr. Heater / Mr. Buddy and a few 5 gallon propane tanks along with the smaller size propane units for Mr. Heater.

We've been stocking up on lanterns using orderless, smokeless lamp oil. They also help heat up the space and are excellent should the power go out. Since we live in a climate with 6 months of winter we are ready to start splitting wood for the wood stove in the cabin. Usually we wait until October to do this. Not this year.

These are extreme times with regard to the climate: heat, water, wind, cold.

Being prepared = peace of mind.
