Dan was an amazing guy. I grew up in the same area and saw him at local walls, every now and then, back in the late 80's/early 90's.

He died in a freak accident when some rigging failed and he fell to his death doing ropes swings under a bridge above
a canyon.

I wanna say it was the Auburn bridge above the Yuba River....but not sure.
