How true is this story about memories.
When you remember a past event, you’re actually remembering the last time you remembered it, not the event itself

 Quoting: Jeff_43

I can understand how a few people could be remembering something wrong. I can't explain though how thousands upon thousands of people are having the exact same 'false' memories.

To top it off, I've watched many videos where people have found evidence of things the way they used to be. That proves people aren't having false memories, that things have actually been changed. Don't know by who or how or why yet.

I was told years ago in school that I have what's called a photographic memory. I don't know exactly what they meant by that, but I can recall where I read something in a book, not the actual page number but where it was located on the page and whether it was on the right or left side of the book. So I most definitely notice when something is out of place or just doesn't look right, misspelled or something like that. And I have noticed quite a few of these so-called Mandela effects over the years. I just shrugged most of them off as companies making changes to their products. But when people say things have ALWAYS been like that? Well, I KNOW that's not true!

I also don't understand how some people just accept things as they are now without so much as batting an eye even when the evidence is right there in front of them. Is there a great deception coming as spoken of in the Bible or is this all part of that great deception? Could it already be here?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76288549

Well, if someone is 20 or 30 year old, for them the changed version has always been the same. It appears only people who are +40 or something like that can see the changes, so the change has occurred about 20-30 years ago, which takes us back to around 2000, like someone mentioned earlier.

I think 9/11 is also related somehow.

Now, check this out!

If you count back 666 days from 9/11/2001, you get to November 16, 1999.

So what happened that day?

Dr. Dre album called "Chronic 2001" was released.

So what, you may ask (as I did too).

Well, check out what the planned name of the album was:

In 1995, the original successor to The Chronic was to be titled "The Chronic II: A New World Odor (Poppa's Got A Brand New Funk)"

What's the significance of all of this?

So some movies/shows/foods/words got lost in translation over the years and are spelled and/or pronounced slightly differently now.

Are the elites testing the human brain to see how easily things can be misremembered so they can shift our entire perception of reality in the future?

This thread is definitely interesting, I'm just not mind blown at the fact looney toons is now loney tunes, unless these subtle changes signify something much bigger ...
 Quoting: E CaT PanTHer

You can bet it signifies something much bigger.

We are in the middle of a psychological war.

Actually cognitive dissonance just came to mind for some reason, as an explanation to the "why".

"...cognitive dissonance is the perception of contradictory information."

"...when two actions or ideas are not psychologically consistent with each other, people do all in their power to change them until they become consistent."

"Coping with the nuances of contradictory ideas or experiences is mentally stressful. It requires energy and effort to sit with those seemingly opposite things that all seem true."

Ok, the Mandela Effect has now been SOLVED. gather around. and please invite your friends to come here as well.

the Mandela Effect has now beem SOLVED. it is easy to find artifacts from the original objects on our timeline, i.e. in their state BEFORE they shifted.

the way to do so is simply to use existing online resources to search through old newspapers, via the WEB. and also, you can only find artifacts if they are the product of someone OTHER than the actual purveyor of the item or work in question.

So, for example, ALL occurences of the name "Looney Tunes" appear that way in the actual cartoons. However, if we do a search for the name "Looney Toons," in actual tv listings in various old newspapers.... guess what you find. take a look at the link below, and then click ANY newspaper shown there; then zoom in on the specific image... and voila.

"remember, all I'm offering is the truth."

LINK TO SEARCH RESULTS:

LINK TO ACTUAL OCCURRENCE OF PHRASE "Looney TOONS"!!!! Every single search result shows the same result!!!!

Ok isn’t it possible that certain publications like TV guide just spelled it wrong either deliberately, inadvertently or otherwise? After all, it is a carTOON. ..?

The Monopoly guy who me is easily explained because your brain expects a monopoly because men with too hats and a cane frequently had one in such an era when that dress was prevalent. Additionally, Mr. Peanut from Planters always DID wear a monocle, so there’s that l…you ASSUME the Monopoly guy must have as well. Just her has not.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70707278

All of them? Made the same mistake?
 Quoting: Digital mix guy

This interesting, I was raised in France, I've never heard of Mr Peanut, nor have I ever seen this mascot in my life as it is an american product, never been to the US didn't have access to US tv, but my monopoly guy has always had a monocle.

Given that the N and M keys are right next to each other, I'd be more inclined to believe that isolated instances of it being spelled "dilemna" are simply typos which made it past the editing process.

Well, it can, if "reality" is actually a "virtual" reality. You think it's analog, but it's actually digital and you literally live in the Matrix.

Check out the movie "The 13th floor". Came out the same year as "The Matrix", but didn't get as much attention. There, you are dealing with two layers of virtual reality, instead of one, like in "The Matrix".

So what if "The Matrix" was actually released in order to shift our attention away from the more realistic information which was given in "The 13th floor" and to keep us from considering the fact the we might in a multiple layered virtual reality?

Really intelligent people wouldn't argue what they remember with the gaslighters. They would go and register the trademarks of the versions everyone remembers. "Fruit Loops", "Oscar Meyer", "Jiffy" etc etc. They're "incorrect" so they should be register-able trademarks, RIGHT? Imagine registering that Jiffy TM and producing a peanut butter just to fuck right back with the elites or whoever is doing this to us. LOL! If the "misremembered" names of these products are already trademarked, that would lead to clues also.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80279660

Jiffy is pop corn. Jif is peanut butter. My god people are tards. You just mistake associations that are similar. Monopoly never had a monocle, that was mr peanut with the top hat and Monocle. Dilemma is correct spelling. Jesus Christ dilemna really? Maybe confusing it with alumna. McEnroe not simmons wore the headband. Etc etc. collective confusion is all it is.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80421933

dilemna WAS how it was spelled...it was one of my most favorite words...(illusion being another)
i would marvel over that word and why it was spelled like that.it was beautiful and mysterious and another word that was spoken differently from its spelling...(like February).

there is not a shred of doubt for me conCERNing that word.
 Quoting: rob2

For me, it's dilemma, but English is not my mother language.

However, just do a search on "dilemna" in the link OP posted and you can see the word appear in newspapers as far back as 1795!!!

dont care what they say

 Quoting: egads!

Yep, I totally agree. This one really got to me when I discovered it too. Some people say Mandela Effects are just people misremembering, but with all of the Mandela Effects I remember, I always have distinct memories tied to the effects that relate back to something else. So, there are two memories associated with them and it makes it very hard to rationalize the changes because I never would have made the associations otherwise.

I was a good speller as a child and distinctly remember sounding out dilem-na and thinking the spelling was weird.

With Berenstein Bears, I remember always equating the name with Frankenstein and the "i before e" thing.

With Chic-fil-A, I remember relating the name to the word "chic" and thinking it was a fancy place, Lol.

The Fruit of the Loom logo reminded me of Thanksgiving because it was the only other association I had with a cornucopia.
 Quoting: WonderlandAlice

Yes. My daughter collected the Berenstein Bears books. I would read them to her at night. One of the memories we have is me saying "I'll read you a BerenSTEIN book" (before going to bed). And she corrected me on my pronunciation (steen, not stein) and I remarked that's a weird way to pronounce it because of how Frankenstein is pronounced. We were also living in Germany at the time, so it particularly stuck in our memories. I specifically used Frankenstein as an example of pronunciation.
 Quoting: ElleMira

Besides... if it's spelled BerenSTAIN, you would obviously pronounce it as "stay-n", not "steen", wouldn't you?

This Mandela dilemna started in 2005 for me, but it didn’t start with words changing, it started with a picture hanging on my parents wall that never existing before. I was 37.
 Quoting: 10822R88

This has been going on for some time now. The first Mandela effect I experienced was when I was a small child, perhaps nine years old, so approximately back in 1976.

I got a little money and told my mom I was going to run down to the candy kiosk. She asked "what kiosk?", and I described the location. She said there is no kiosk there, which annoyed me greatly, because I was ALWAYS running there to buy candy as soon as I scored a couple of coins!

But when I went to where the kiosk was supposed to be, it wasn't there. It looked like a kiosk may have been standing there many years ago, but now all that remained was an old cracked and weathered concrete slab, half overgrown with shrubs. It was clearly years and years since any kiosk existed in this location, and my memories of buying candy there were now "wrong".

I've told this story before, and also the story about my more recent experience with a small tree outside my grocery store that has been blinking in and out of existence several times, and that most recently has changed to have blood colored leaves, when it was always a normal green tree before. (At least when it bothers to exist, lol!)

My explanation for these things, is that "the real world" doesn't actually exist. All that exists is consciousness, and the "external world" is only a projection of consciousness.

When all of us agree on what to project in our "external reality", a consensus reality is formed that looks solid and fixed. But that's just an artifact of the underlying fact that all (or most) of conscious beings are agreeing to experience the same thing.

But in recent decades, the human population is splitting apart. Some of us are "ascending", and some are not. We are drifting further and further apart, and our consensus reality is cracking. Just think about how vaxed and non-vaxed people are holding completely incompatible worldviews!

This separation in worldview and belief structure is straining our consensus reality construct to the breaking point, and soon it will split in two. The two groups will then have separated completely, and live in two parallel realities that no longer intersect and interact.

At that point we won't be able to see each other any more, and we won't see any more "glitches in the Matrix" either, because everyone in our surrounding soul collective will be "on the same wavelength".

I'm looking forward to it, even if some people (like my mother) will be disappearing from my reality.

 Quoting: vAv

Yes. Stein and Stain - pronounced Steen?
 Quoting: ElleMira

Yes, and my sister and I would wonder if it was pronounced like "steen" or "stine". NEVER "stain" because it wasn't spelled that way.

 Quoting: Lazy Monk

Interesting... this kinda explains the feeling I've been having lately about not being actually there where I am. It's a real, defined state actually, so not something I'm imagining.

I am here and I am typing these words, but in my head I feel like it's a dream or something. It's also fkn annoying, I might add.
