Really intelligent people wouldn't argue what they remember with the gaslighters. They would go and register the trademarks of the versions everyone remembers. "Fruit Loops", "Oscar Meyer", "Jiffy" etc etc. They're "incorrect" so they should be register-able trademarks, RIGHT? Imagine registering that Jiffy TM and producing a peanut butter just to fuck right back with the elites or whoever is doing this to us. LOL! If the "misremembered" names of these products are already trademarked, that would lead to clues also.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80279660

Jiffy is pop corn. Jif is peanut butter. My god people are tards. You just mistake associations that are similar. Monopoly never had a monocle, that was mr peanut with the top hat and Monocle. Dilemma is correct spelling. Jesus Christ dilemna really? Maybe confusing it with alumna. McEnroe not simmons wore the headband. Etc etc. collective confusion is all it is.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80421933

dilemna WAS how it was spelled...it was one of my most favorite words...(illusion being another)
i would marvel over that word and why it was spelled like that.it was beautiful and mysterious and another word that was spoken differently from its spelling...(like February).

there is not a shred of doubt for me conCERNing that word.

do you remember seeing this?

 Quoting: rob2

That's trippy.

Something happened to me nearly 2 mos ago. I'm sorry, I'm just not comfortable sharing it on a public forum because it just has me freaked out too much. If anyone is interested can PM me and might share that way.

It's not the first time something changed/shifted in my personal sphere. I posted about how my husband and I noticed our garage door suddenly has a lock that we have no key for - it used to be a dummy/inactive doorknob. Anyway, something weird is going on and I have no way to explain what is happening. I've pretty much resolved these strange incidents to 'it is what it is' because I can't logically explain it.

Anyway, my experiences with shifts in my personal sphere have occurred within the past year.

Re: One question on Mandela Effect that is now resolved! Is it REAL?! Take a look!! Screenshots, old news articles, some amateur videos prove it!
This literally proves nothing.

The true "Mandela effect" is not hard to understand. And the internet itself is the issue.

Let's take Luke, I am your father. It is a simple line. Vader says, No, I am your father. Always did. But people run around quoting it as "Luke, I am your father!". There was no internet. Many people quoted it incorrectly. The movie was insanely huge, cultural touchstone. As fans grow up, some say the wrong quote, some say the actual line. No big deal.

But then the internet comes along. Now there are people quoting the line wrong, and the movie is 20 years old at that point. Kids that grew up with their parents saying the line wrong see it as the misquote. To them it has always been Luke, I am your father. The misquote on that line was actually more popular than the real line. The internet is 7 billion people, many of them stupid. Thus, the line was changed via "Mandela Effect".

Berenstain Bears. A strange spelling. It was always that. But when people write it out from memory, Berenstein is a far more natural sounding and looks correct. Same type of thing. Over time, we all think the old books had to be Berenstein. People get on the internet and some people who no longer have the books and swear it was Berenstein cannot be convinced. So it must be that the "timeline shifted".

It is all misremembering, and groups of people remember some things because in that area where they grew up or lived, most people thought that. But now we have the internet, where billions of people remember things differently, misremember, and many are easily swayed by listening to others.

The entire idea came about because of misreporting on Mandela's death, it embedded in the collective memory of many, and though it was retracted and corrected....no, Mandela was DEAD, I swear. So, someone MUST be changing realities.

The old ads that may show mispelled names of restaurants, books, etc, are the perfect proof. Because people in that are that saw the misspelled names and such, many believe in that same falsehood.

It is so simple to see. But I think it is like aliens or bigfoot. People want so badly to believe, theyd rather it be changing timelines than the obvious.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81024798

As for "Luke, I'm your father" specifically, I can bet that was exactly the case.

At the beginning of the two thousandth I had VHS cassettes with Star Wars that I "watched to the holes".
I must say right away that the recordings were of good quality, which excludes any distortion.

So, with all responsibility and firm memory, I declare that there was "Luke, I am your father." Moreover, I will say that the intonation of "Luke" was said in a drawl, like soft "Luuke" with a sharp transition to a clear and loud "I!!!(pause) am your father."
I would love to see how it sounds now, but I got rid of the cassettes in early 2010.

Ok, the Mandela Effect has now been SOLVED. gather around. and please invite your friends to come here as well.

the Mandela Effect has now beem SOLVED. it is easy to find artifacts from the original objects on our timeline, i.e. in their state BEFORE they shifted.

the way to do so is simply to use existing online resources to search through old newspapers, via the WEB. and also, you can only find artifacts if they are the product of someone OTHER than the actual purveyor of the item or work in question.

So, for example, ALL occurences of the name "Looney Tunes" appear that way in the actual cartoons. However, if we do a search for the name "Looney Toons," in actual tv listings in various old newspapers.... guess what you find. take a look at the link below, and then click ANY newspaper shown there; then zoom in on the specific image... and voila.

"remember, all I'm offering is the truth."

I changed the title somewhat to this thread. Some people noted that I haven't solved the Mandela effect itself. I changed the title to reflect that I resolved the question of proving whether it's real. I think that's what I meant. I wrote the thread title before a little quickly. Thanks.

You are wrong!

I remember very clearly that it was Looney TOONS. I was watching it when I was a kid and it was spelled TOONS.

Now, when I search for it, it comes up as TUNES, but in the archive search engine OP posted you can see that in old articles it was TOONS, which is how I (and many others) remember it.

So NO, it's not something people were misspelling! It has been changed! By what/whom and for what reason is still unanswered.

Ok isn’t it possible that certain publications like TV guide just spelled it wrong either deliberately, inadvertently or otherwise? After all, it is a carTOON. ..?

The Monopoly guy who me is easily explained because your brain expects a monopoly because men with too hats and a cane frequently had one in such an era when that dress was prevalent. Additionally, Mr. Peanut from Planters always DID wear a monocle, so there’s that l…you ASSUME the Monopoly guy must have as well. Just her has not.

Explain the scene in Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls then, if he never had a monocle the whole scene makes no sense since the joke hinges on the guys appearance
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81882830

Also explain why he didn’t just make a Mr. Peanut joke then instead?

That doesn't really prove you're right, does it? What if it was changed before you had to recite it in 3rd grade :)

I'm over 50, so I remember when they first started changing things. I distinctly recall them changing Berenstein Bears to Berenstain. Also, Oscar Meyer to Oscar Mayer, "Mirror, Mirror on the wall" to "Magic Mirror on the wall." Jiffy to JIF. There was plenty of other subtle changes I noticed over the years also, but those were the very first ones that caught my attention. I'm not positive of the exact year, but I think it was around 2002 that those first few changes began. Some say that the Mandela effect started even earlier, but that's when I first seen it happening myself. At the time it really irritated me that they'd change things like that, and I attributed it to big industries trying to freshen up their image or something. But that really didn't explain all the changes of course. Much later on when I heard about this being a phenomenon called the Mandela effect, thanks to the internet, I simply assumed that TPTB were running yet another psyop to f**k with our heads and make us think we're crazy. It wouldn't be too hard to change things on the internet,or in print. But still a lot of trouble to bother with, so the bastards must believe they have some good reason for doing it. There are some folks who think it has been done supernaturally, by Cern, or time travel. I'm not convinced that it is done these ways, although anything is possible. Actually it might be a test to see how many people even notice these changes, and if they can convince us that this is how it has always been, kind of setting it up so that they can change history, and we'll just believe it was always a certain way. It's part of their mind control program. lol

I'm 60 and have had these same observations. Sometimes I felt like something shifted with 9-11, as like you I started noticing in the 02-03 timeframe. I was "curious" pre-911, wide awake post 911. Sometimes I wonder if once they got away with such a mass obvious lie they put the peddle to the metal. I don't know, but I do know something evil has been afoot for a very long time, fucking with us.

dilemna WAS how it was spelled...it was one of my most favorite words...(illusion being another)
i would marvel over that word and why it was spelled like that.it was beautiful and mysterious and another word that was spoken differently from its spelling...(like February).

there is not a shred of doubt for me conCERNing that word.

Here's an example for "dilemna." Also this newspaper seems a little odd anyway.
