It’s fake. Pay attention to the words he uses to top it off. He doesn’t use words that someone that is about to die would say. He says help one time. On two occasions he says I don’t know if I can get out of this quicksand. The second time he says that he’s already completely almost underneath. Anyone in this situation would be flailing screaming going berserk in those final moments. And lastly we’re all the dumbasses that believe this type of shit the video cuts out before he’s even 100% under. About two seconds after he still talking.

All he has to do when the time is right is stand up because the hole of what looks to be quicksand was a prop and there’s only about 3 feet deep when he jumps into the hole he flexes his knees. You people are so goddamn stupid

I know the feeling of not being able to escape. I am using Windows 10 and wishing I had learned how to use Linux systems twenty years ago.

How do you get out of Windows quicksand mud?

Oh wow...I'm so glad it IS NOT REAL.

I had my doubts when I got to about the 4 minute mark
of this 7 minute ordeal.

The guy is WAY WAY TOO CALM for someone who is in quicksand
--I think once you sink past the level of your lungs
(high chest) you'd begin to PANIC BE TIME--unless he's
drunk or something, which wouldn't be out of the norm
these days!

I read once that these kinds of "pits" form where there
is a high concentration of certain minerals and chemicals
--one of which is MERCURY. You don't want to live around
a company who manufactures old-time-fever thermometers.
I'm sure their "holding ponds" are dangerous!

Download an app called "Balena Etcher", it will let you easily burn ISO images onto USB drives or DVDrw disks so you can try out any version of Linux you want. Being new to Linux I'd recommend going with Linux Mint, it has most everything you might need or want and has everthing set up to be very user friendly to people used to using a GUI. Try it, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Quicksand escape tips:

1. Don't panic.

The only people who die from quicksand in real life, have badly panicked! Be calm. Like an ice cube.

2. Stand up.


That's right, real quicksand tends to be no more than four foot deep. On average, it's between 2-4 feet.

So, calmly hold your shit together and stand up.

3. Move slow and go to the edge.

But wait! What if this is one of the world's three eight feet deep pools of quicksand?

Um, the truth is, you'll float. Half your body will stay out of the mass and you can't really even force your way deeper.

In short, the video is a fake and a known fake. Quicksand isn't only incredibly rare, but you would have to literally go into it head first in order to die from it.

How close was the camera? On a tripod on land?

Then could he have not been able to "swim" to safety? He looked like he was only treading in place not trying to find an area that was more solid.

Now I read it's fake, but who would submerge their head in mud? OMG!
