Today my personal doomscale did reach 4/7 (high).



There were four E-6B MERCURY TACAMO "doomsday" planes over the CONUS at one point on ADS-B.


The most I have ever seen is six.


And it is not often one sees five or six.


Seven if I ever see it, I have dubbed a Code Brown.


We have like sixteen of those aircraft.

It has been many decades since we had almost no communication between our military leadership and both Russian AS WELL AS Chinese military leadership.



Detente with both China and Russia started about 50 years ago.


It is like a return to the period before that.


In fairness to China, they had not YET invaded anyone.


We did provoke them needlessly and now they are threatening both Taiwan and Japan -- needlessly.

After all what has Japan done to China recently?



In the case of Russia, Russia is not so innocent.


This conflict in the Indo-Pacific didn't need to be riled up right now, in my opinion.


We had enough on our plate.

Pelosi should not have been allowed to visit Taiwan given the current tensions.

She is full of herself and look what she accomplished. Was that her goal?

In my opinion, to stir shit up.

To stir the hornets' nest.

Wow.

I'm not to far from an AFB, as you know. It has been dead quiet for the last week. I hadn't really thought about it until this evening, but it's odd. It's also possible they are using a different flight path for whatever reason.

Things look fairly quiet right now on ads-b over the CONUS.


There could be military traffic not broadcasting though.

I think stealth mode has been engaged

China has shown the ability to get multiple sorties up daily for a little while now. That would be essential in a war for Taiwan.

Was the 16 missile test a success?

That time they tried to coordinate two missile launches from different locations on one target was a failure.

Any way..you learn from your failures and they sure have been practicing a lot.

I don't see any good coming out of all of this.
This potentially could mess things up for a whole lot of people. All I can do is shake my head.

Perfect planning prevents poor performance.


They learned that from watching the Russians.
