We armchair generals and amateur analysts here at GLP know that you don't plan drills of this size in a few days. These are massive combined land, sea and air operations. This has been months in the planning, at least.

So the idea this is simply a reaction to Pelosi's visit defies basic logic.

My worst fears are starting to seem right.

The russians and Chinese are making a coordinated move to change the global order.

The deep down conspiracy theorist in me also reckons Ukraine wasn't even phase one of this move and that Covid was.

Phase one: Release a mildly lethal, novel virus to weaken western economies by destroying supply chains and causing massive inflation. (which is defintely happening here in Britain)

Phase two: Bait NATO into a demoralising and unnafordable quagmire in eastern europe by invading Ukraine, avoiding a nuclear escalation by not touching NATO soil. (luckily we didn't take the bait but we'll have to see whether europe can get through this winter. Right now in Britain, energy prices are really starting to hurt people)

Phase three: Taiwan. The Dragon breaks it's chains and unleashes hellfire upon the pacific.
