Hawaii
Earlier this year, the Hawaii legislature approved a tax refund that would provide $300 checks for individual taxpayers earning less than $100,000 or joint filers making under $200,000. Taxpayers who earn more than $100,000 will also receive a one-time check of $100.
Most payments are expected to be sent out by the end of October.

Idaho
Idaho residents are expected to receive either $75 per taxpayer and dependent or 12% of their 2020 state income tax liability, whichever is a greater amount. The state began mailing out the stimulus checks in March.

Illinois
Individual taxpayers who made less than $200,000 in 2021 will receive $50 in tax rebate. Joint filers who earned less than $400,000 will receive $100 in rebate checks. Taxpayers will also receive $100 per dependent claimed on their 2021 taxes, with a maximum of three dependents.

Indiana
The state of Indiana has begun sending out $125 relief checks to all single taxpayers and $250 to couples who filed their 2021 taxes by April 18.

Maine
More than 850,000 Maine residents are being sent $850 in direct relief checks if they filed a 2021 state tax return. To be eligible, the taxpayer must have an adjusted gross income of less than $100,000 if single, $150,000 for head of household filers, and $200,000 for married couples filing jointly.

Massachusetts
The state issued another round of direct payments of $500 for more than 300,000 low-income essential workers. Residents who made at least $13,500 last year with a household income at or below 300% of the federal poverty level would also receive the payments.

New Jersey
The state of New Jersey has begun sending out refund payments of up to $500 in early July as part of its Middle Class Tax rebate program. The checks, which would take about six weeks to process, will be sent out to nearly 1 million families, according to a press release.

New Mexico
Earlier this year, the state approved a measure that would send out $250 checks to taxpayers making less than $75,000 a year if single and $500 checks to couples, head of household filers and surviving spouses making less than $150,000.

New York
At least 2.5 million New York homeowners will receive tax rebate credit checks for 2022. Most payments have been sent out in June.

Oregon
More than 230,000 low-income residents in the state of Oregon are expected to receive one-time stimulus checks of $600. The state began sending out the payments in late June.

Pennsylvania
The state of Pennsylvania will send out property tax checks to homeowners and renters. The checks will amount to between $250 and $650 for homeowners and between $500 and $650 checks for renters. People eligible to receive the payments should visit the myPath website or file a paper application before the end of 2022.

South Carolina
Some taxpayers in the state of South Carolina are expected to receive one-time stimulus checks of up to $800. The state has yet to release details about the program and is expected to announce more information about the rebate checks later this year.

Virginia
In June, Virginia lawmakers approved a one-time tax rebate that would send out $250 for single taxpayers and $500 for married couples filing jointly. To be eligible for the payments, the recipient must file their taxes by the Nov. 1 deadline.

Colorado
In late June, Gov. Jared Polis announced a program that would give $750 in cashback rebate for single taxpayers and $1,500 for joint filers beginning this August. Taxpayers who filed their 2021 returns by June 30 will receive the payments by September 2022. People who file their 2021 tax return by the Oct. 17 deadline will receive their cash back checks by the end of January 2023.

Delaware
Residents of Delaware who filed their 2020 state tax return received one-time payments of $300 per individual and $600 for joint filers in May. More payments will be sent throughout the summer to residents who file their 2021 tax returns, according to a government notice.

Florida
Florida is expected to issue one-time stimulus checks worth up to $450 per child to eligible lower-income families, including foster parents, relative and non-relative caregivers and households receiving money from the Florida Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program or Guardianship Assistance program. The checks will be sent to about 59,000 families in Florida.

Georgia
In Georgia, residents who filed both their 2020 and 2021 tax returns would receive refunds amounting to $250 per single taxpayer, $375 for head of household filers and $500 for joint filers.


California
More than half of the state’s residents are set to receive payments that could amount to as much as $1,050 in either direct deposits or debit cards beginning this October. The program would send one-time payments of $350 to single taxpayers earning less than $75,000 a year, plus $350 if they have dependents. Married couples filing jointly and making under $150,000 annually would receive $700 and an additional $350 for any dependents, totaling $1,050
