But I'll stick with Frequency, Somewhere in Time, Back to the Future trilogy (except #2), Kate & Lepold etc. If I want violence, I'd turn on the news, not entertainment! I mean does anyone want bugs in their food? OH, wait... |

How many baby yourself you can steal ? How many genders you can have ? How many times you can kill someone ? Without seeing this movie no one can discuss time travel. |

Everyone will be blocked for 6 weeks, you idiot! It starts the minute you use one. In a few hours it's done and then you can't use it for 6 weeks |

Life expectancy was in your 30's... It's a nice time frame to visit, but wouldn't want to live there. Unless you're able to time travel back and forth... |

Life expectancy was in your 30's... Quoting: DuckNCover It's a nice time frame to visit, but wouldn't want to live there. Unless you're able to time travel back and forth... Consider the life of famed songwriter Fanny Crosby, who was born in 1820. She was blinded as an infant when a doctor of the time applied mustard plasters to her eyes. Later, she was treated for cholera with pills composed of two-thirds calomel (mercury chloride) and one-third opium. Water was unsanitary, even in big cities. No refrigeration. No food safety regulations. You might only be paid $2 a week. And that $2 might be in locally issued paper script, not coin. Steamships often exploded. Trains often got involved in horrible wrecks. Lynchings were not uncommon for people of all races. |

A guy as old as him was a huge deal because people didn't often live into their 90s. It was common to have a half dozen children because you knew not all of them would make it to adulthood. And they didn't. And you treated them kindly because they would be looking after you in your old age if you made it that long. Antibiotics made the difference. Then in the 1920s they started giving diabetics insulin. My late husband and one of my kids has type 1 diabetes. That was a death sentence back in the 1870s. Like most older folks, I'm sure he had fond memories of the way things used to be. But it will never go back (at least willingly). |
