You don’t have long to wake up and prepare. Why do you think only people in the midwest and south are smart enough to realize that the climate is not changing just because it gets hot in the summer time? Smart people like that are everywhere. |

It's summertime in the US. Anonymous Coward User ID: 83869066 07/20/2022 08:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've always kept up with the weather. I work outdoors and garden. In Arkansas we've had unusually cool Summers for over a decade. In the 90s and 2000s we had over a dozen days above 100 pretty much every year. One year we broke 100 36 days straight. We had burn bans every year. Then sometime around 2010 it all changed. Summers were wetter and days above 100 ranged from 0 to 3 days a year. More humidity though. So now it's hot and dry this year. I've seen this before. Old timers will talk about how the worst they ever saw was 81. |

And here we are staring at each other through an electronic............ error goto ram I FIGHT FOR ROME!!! |

Hotter than Death Valley. 109° one day I remember. We still haven’t broken records from the 30’s. Pffft. Summer. Hot. Keep your mitts off my V8. Quoting: Possum70 That was the year Arkansas went above 100 every day for 36 days straight and a total of something like 44 days That was the year of my first heat stroke too. House foundations and brick walls were cracking everywhere. People were happy to see days of 102 because 107 was pretty common. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 83873478 United States 07/20/2022 09:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | trying to create hysteria over weather has been an age old ploy. they told us that we were going to freeze to death back in the 70's. they practiced and practiced while honing their skills, then your generation was born and they finally found some suckers. al gore played it all his life with lectures and books, then he would get in his jet plane and crap jet fumes all over the people who he preaches to. he would then arrive at one of his mansions, crank up that air conditioner and tell everyone that their carbon footprint is too big. you can hear so much bullshit until it causes you to ignore it as the usual nonsense. |
