How do they return the body to the trailhead without being seen?

In Paulides’ Missing 411 books, there are many instances of the bodies of the missing actually being found after days of search efforts right in the middle of trail that the searchers walked over every day.

I’ve studied Forteana for years, and their are numerous accounts of people who became lost in the woods or wilderness and eventually made their way out, who during their ordeal could see and hear the searchers, but could not make the searchers see or hear them, as if they were being hidden from them.
