Crowley, because of his religious upbringing was aware of many of things hidden in those old scriptures. A lot of what he knew he did not write down, but you can pick up bits and pieces of it here and there. Crowley's stuff is powerful no doubt but it's not for the timid. Confessions is a good read. He was a great mountaineer. He made the first attempt upon K2 and Kangchenjunga. The borders to Everest were not open then or he would have been the first up it as everest is easy compared to K2.
