Because of it, every hand will fail, and every heart of man will waste away and be crushed.

Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them. They will not seek silver, nor desire gold.

Instead, with their arrows, they will put the little children to death, and they will take no pity on breastfeeding women, and their eye will not spare their children.

And then Babylon [British/German Anglo-Saxons], the glorious one among kingdoms, that famous pride of the Chaldeans [Canadians/French], will be destroyed, even as the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.

It will not be inhabited, even unto the end, and it will not be reestablished, even from generation to generation. The Arab will not pitch his tents there, nor will the shepherds take rest there.

Instead, the wild beasts will rest there, and their houses will be filled with serpents, and ostriches will live there, and the hairy ones [Bigfoots] will leap about there.

Therefore, the prudent will be silent at that time, for it is an evil time.

Matthew 6
19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

This part is similar to what I recall, though I recall this section being longer, with more detail. It might have just been this though and my mental image of it is where I'm getting the extra detail from.

There is a voice of outcry from the shepherds, and a wailing among the nobles among the flock! For [Jesus] the Lord has laid waste to their pastures.

I don't know though. The verse(s) I thought I recalled seemed to be less about invading armies and more about people in communities/areas sweeping through their neighbors homes. I may be misremembering though.
