Buy your own solar setup if you can. There are some wierd stipulations in those solar contracts. Power saving appliances pay for themselves too! IDK what kind of setup you have but an on demand water heater saves a lot! If you have electric water heat there is a great solution... You can mount say 1kw of panels on your roof and wire them straight to the lower heating element (with a 100 dollar kit). That will save you tons of power! Wrap your water heater in one of those blanket things. Use led lighting too. Lot's of ways to save $$ I would do these things before signing a solar contract.

Yeah the POS Orban just announced a 1000% hike in energy fees starting Aug 1. Those who use less than 200kw/mo will get the discount. Those with larger homes/families will get charged one thousand times higher than they used to.

This country needs to open a new oil refinery which it hasnt done since the 70’s and start up some new Nuke powerplants! Electric cars aren’t the answer if the electricity being produced and used to recharge them is made from Fossil fuels.

We had the largest bill ever…. $470. But we also used a record amount of electricity. Thanks to a full house and major heat wave.

I locked in a 5 year electric rate at 13.4 kWh about 4 months ago when it was obvious what was about to happen. I had one at 13.5 but it had a $60 kick back per month. So paying a bit more. It was set to expire in September so I had to pay $100 to cancel it.

Just checked and justenergy, the company that i have the 5 year contract with, is now charging 16.2 kWh for the same plan.
