they do that or read off a computer screen. hard to find a dr u can trust and depend on. better off researching online and being your own doc. the other things they like to do is pass patients around to help their buddies get more $$. less and less of them really try to consider what is best for the patient.

I'm finally figuring that out. I have a couple of docs that are really good, but they're the ones doing the surgeries. They don't have the answers I'm looking for. Everyone is so busy, too. We're usually in and out of the office really fast and I don't always think of questions until later, after I've thought about it for awhile.

I'm starting to think I'm running out of time for dialysis and they can't even do it yet. I don't even want to think about the cost involved. I refuse to bankrupt my family over this.

Does anyone know of a GOOD support group? One that isn't about their agenda or making money off of patients? I'm falling between the cracks again. Feeling very forgotten by the world lately.

they also go by what insurance allows. they may have an idea, look at their screen, and change their idea. do complete 180 in an instant and no explanation.

I know. I've asked about needing referrals and was told not to worry about it. Their computers tell them what is allowed.

who all called their bank today?
ours is fine, least that is what they said.

Sorry, TB. If you have questions after a doctor visit, try to talk to a nurse. An older one if possible. They know a lot, and they care about patients in a way that doctors just aren't trained to do anymore. Ask them about support groups as well. A dialysis center may have some more information on that, even if you are not their patient. I wish I could be of more help.

Mine seems to be okay. I made a note to take out some emergency cash tomorrow just in case.

I was told that my daughter and fam are coming to our house for Thanksgiving this year. I was kind of in a panic about cooking it all this year. Can't really pull it off anymore. Not on a time schedule and without help.

So...after talking to youngest son, who will be here as well, we've got 2 options to look into. One is a reheat version from a local deli. I've seen them for years, but never did it before. I used to love to cook for Thanksgiving!

The other option is one that I hope works out better. We just found out our favorite Amish restaurant has opened one closer to home and is open for Thanksgiving buffet! Cost is about the same, just no cooking or clean up. We'll do dessert at home probably. Mr. TB and I are going to go there this week and check it out. I have no idea how busy it'll be, but if it's like it is in the summer, could be a longish wait. Need more information. I hope it'll work, it's our absolute favorite restaurant!

simple solution would b the easiest. just ask em "who's cooking it?" mayb they have a plan. if not, order pizza the night before.

No, they don't. We went to Cracker Barrel last year. Didn't know anywhere else was open. The kids worked so hard to get us moved. I know they aren't aware. We haven't seen them since summer started. I don't want to tell them not to come. I need to see them so much! We won't have Christmas to look forward to. I wish we were having one more big family Christmas, but the kids have been fighting about something or other for quite awhile. It was stupid and petty really, but oldest keeps a grudge going forever sometimes.

They won't be here long enough to actually cook dinner. There's a lot of prep work beforehand. I want a day to teach my daughter how to make my gramma's Christmas honey cookies. I can give her the recipe, but I need to show her. Why she was never interested before is beyond me. Now, she's sad she doesn't know how to do things like that. Yep. Potluck or the grocery store pre-made feast. They do a great job, actually. No, it won't be exactly like homemade, but it's pretty close and WAY easier.

We'll do one or the other. The trick is to keep sil busy. He doesn't do well with nothing to do. He always wants to go home right away and it's an 8 hour trip one way.

let me think outside the box. ifv the bank issue doesn't get fixed, govern will have to pay all the ppl. they'll usher in UBI and reset. the UBI will b a twisted way to pay the ppl back. by doing it over time, the claim will b this will curb inflation rates away from HI.

did u get anything on the keyboards? crumbs/coffee? u can take it apart and wash most of the pieces quite easily. let it dry a long time before putting back together.

old rule- 1 is none...2 is 1. at the least keep this 1 for a backup. sux when things break late at night with no replacement.

No spills, but seems like the keys are working ok again. Idk what happened.

That's actually something that everyone should have in their emergency prep kits, however much they can afford.

Make sure it is in small bills, nothing larger than a 20. You need to be able to pay as close to exact amount as possible without expecting change.

We keep ours in a fireproof safe at home. We also have a small amount of cash in our get-home bags in each vehicle.

Generally speaking, I don't believe that any kind of banking emergency where people are unable to withdraw cash or use their debit cards will come with any warning. It will happen suddenly, especially if it's a deliberate attack of some kind. If it were me, I would launch it overnight on a Friday of a major holiday weekend. This would seriously impact people traveling and possibly prevent them from getting either to their destination or back home with no access to electronic funds, thus sparking a larger panic.

So, don't wait for a warning to do this. Do it tomorrow. We've had ours set aside for years, although we have gradually increased the amount as we've been able to do so.

Ironically, I'm posting this using my phone's LTE because our landline internet has been out for 24 hours. No warning. You're not going to get a warning for a banking emergency either. Prep now, while you can.
