What's the status on tiny bunny? I'm guessing you are somewhere in the FLa panhandle? Somewhere between Fl and Sc from the looks of the soil. Tadpoles are probably from the green tree frog. Nice vids. Nature is endlessly fascinating.

Re: Critters on our new homestead
I just had an unwanted critter come into my yard. I was in bed sleeping, when I was woken up to a loud KA-BOOM (my garbage can). My dog started barking like crazy so I got my flashlight and went outside to investigate.

As I looked by my garage, there a few yards away was a big black bear. It had a kind of lumbering walk and had a shimmery coat. It turned and looked at me, then it looked like it might come after me so I hurried back into the house.

It had dumped over my garbage looking for food, I will have a big mess to clean when the sun comes up.

I'm on the coast in WA, and there is a lot of wild life here.

Great post. What a wonderful life! I wish I had a setup like that.

I have ground squirrels that have dug a tunnel under thr fence. They might come in to drink water. My one hunting dog wants to catch one.

Mother rabbits only feed their babies 2x a day, dusk and dawn. It might not be too much of a task to help that lil guy out.

We live out in the country. Animals are eating other animals all day every day. I feel bad for the bunny but that’s part of nature out here.

Re: Critters on our new homestead
We're moving to a farm this week; we saw a few huge snakes slither under the front deck while we were there and now I'm freaking out.
There have been snakes at most places we've lived recently but they weren't all out in the open like they were the other day. One was like 6ft long.

ahhh
