NOW - Multiple people shot at July 4th parade in Highland Park, IL.

About an hour and 45 min after the shooting, WGN9 interviewed an eyewitness who said he saw the shooter standing at street level, crouched behind a stop sign at the intersection "methodically" shooting people with a scoped rifle.
He said that he couldn't make out the face as it was blocked by the rifle scope.

This witness, a grandfather who was with his wife in a wheelchair and their infant grandson in a stroller was six feet directly behind a woman that was shot dead in front.
Some of her blood splattered on his wife's shirt and he felt something (I'm guessing blouse button, bone fragment, or piece of a hollow point bullet that passed through the woman in front of him) hit his leg, but didn't pierce the skin.

Same witness said he saw the shooter pause after the first barrage of fire to adjust the rifle, which assumed was to reload.

Police press conference just stated only one rooftop shooter, a white male with long dark hair, with some reports that he may be wearing a blue or white shirt.
Yet this first eyewitness's speech pattern sounded totally uncontrived and legit to my ears. Press even mentioned reports of rooftop shooter, and grandfather said, no he was definitely on the ground.

Either the police are misled and going purely on hearsay of mere 'earwitnesses' who were fooled by building bounced acoustics to believe that the shooter's location was elevated,
-or-
the IMO credible eyewitness fabricated his entire first hand account...blood stains and all,
-or-
earwitnesses and eyewitness are both correct, which means...
2 shooters (street level & rooftop) BOTH still at large.
