I love my country. However, it seems a little ridiculous to be celebrating 'independence' at this point. Does anyone still believe America is a sovereign nation acting in the best interests of its people?

Already got a parking spot at the beach with car packed with grill , cooler, chairs, etc etc , got the last parking spot on the beach @ 9 , biked home, prepping more food. Now I can bike back whenever i want, stress free, watch the miles long line of people trying to get to the beach, hot, stressing out, i have a feeling that once the drinking starts, and it is 90 today, people are going to get ,,,,,,, testy
