Great point. Frankly, I think the thing is a hoax to launder money for other purposes. The big tubes don't have to be as big as they are for the tiny particles they say they're accelerating. The pipes look like hydro power water pipes. Water requires big pipes. Neutrinos and other assorted particles don't. Recall how the world was fooled by the moon landings. Or by the 9/11 collapse of the twin towers which turned out to have no floors. This is all a big Hollywood production set... IMO. The heat problem you raise is an excellent primary reference point to prove that it's not real.

Nope. The “streams” of protons have very little mass and are confined in a vacuum surrounded by super-cooled magnets. The magnets are cooled by use of thousands of tons of liquid helium and liquid nitrogen to a temperature only 2 degrees above absolute zero.

Isn't there a hadron collider somewhere in the North Western USA or maybe they are building one there, that will be way more powerful than the CERN particle collider?
