Are You An Academic Idiot?

These guys think if they sit in lectures, read published materials, do a little research, and have lived about 4 decades they will know something. A rare reality.

1.) The vast number of predictions they make are false.
2.) They are too arrogant to admit error.
3.) All of their conclusions are heavily caveated and speculative.
4.) They claim to interface with Science which itself is poorly conclusive.
5.) They constantly attempt to reinvent the wheel.
6.) They are driven by intuition rather than by Higher Principle.
7.) They rarely have much more than a service oriented career.
8.) Although possibly clever, they show poor listening skills.
9.) They most often swim around in uncertainty, and call it a success to articulate an actual concept in less than 500 words.
