Nowhere else in the world but the USA does the word STATE mean anything but a free and self governing independent body of people. A UNITED STATES means exactly that- free and independent self governing bodies of peoples working together in voluntary unity.

Christ, the Vatican is an independent STATE. Lichtenstein is a STATE, Monaca is a STATE, free self governing and independent and none of them would make a pimple on a US STATE.

Furthermore , I beg anyone to show me were it's written that a STATE cannot withdraw from the UNITED STATES any time they choose to.
