3 Letter agencies can still exist... they just now need to have much more specific instructions about what their goal is and how they are supposed to do it from congress.

No longer a subject of the unelected bureaucrat, but they have to get their orders from the elected congress people which we can change if we don't like the directions they are giving to those agencies. Seems close to what was intended.

Still, legislators tend to give a lot of leeway to "public health". If you say CDC has the job of protecting public health, they'll have broad authority and courts won't interfere, even when the medical evidence is nonexistent or fraudulent. It would be another big step to breach that presumption.

The only reason Biden got reversed on employer vax mandates is that he gave the oversight to the EPA, an obviously unrelated agency, rather than to the CDC. That was SCOTUS' argument, that EPA isn't competent to regulate that.

So I'll be happily surprised if this helps much on that front.

Well if you were a corporation you would want as many people under your control as possible with the new recruits (immigrants without status) with less benefit.
