I'm no sympathizer, but I'll be dammed if that article doesn't read like some weird dystopian kangaroo court. Acting like a 101 year old crying while being dragged through that whole ordeal somehow demonstrates his heartlessness towards the victims of the camp? Wtf. Even if he was a guard there (which was not established beyond a doubt), his culpability is more than suspect.

The dude is 101. He’s gonna die real soon… in fact, he is overdue to die! If he has not repented, his judgement by the Lord Jesus is sure. What does this really accomplish? Honestly… am I missing something? Yes he did bad things while he was a Nazi prison guard… but 101? Really?

Funny fact: in the 1970s there were Waffen SS reunions in Munich--every year. I recall one specific statement from one of SS men "Where are these cowards that say we were murdering people--we were on the East Front almost the entire time of the war". Oh yea "Send these liars to us and we will fight them here and now". Guess what, no one came to fight them. There were literally thousands of them at that time--grey but still physically fit.

There were some big-name personalities that were hunted--many more were not. Personally, I find it sickening that any government would barge in and arrest an old man for something he did not do. That's right--like the Ukrainian dude that lost his US citizenship because of planted evidence--yep, planted by the US Government. He spent years in various jails before an Israeli court finally cleared him. The US still did not let the retired man back into the country of which he was a citizen of prior to his marketing for a show trial.

The people that pursue these show trials are disgusting sub-human cowards. Those that like watching that sort of thing are nothing but sheep.

BTW, the reunion stories were carried in the US military newspaper, the Stars and Stripes. I was about 200 Ks from there while those events took place.

Sets a precedent that soldiers can be prosecuted for just being there.
