Smoking has nothing to do with morality. It could become an idol but other than that, if it's not, then it's not a sin. It's interesting that you would use smoking as an example and not any of the deadly sins. Replace adultery, fornication, lying, stealing in place of smoking and see how that sounds.

The caring and benevolent God of pure unconditional love will not do that.

Besides, if we were all perfect and sinless we would be invisible without a need for the physical human body!

The compassionate God loves all of us unconditionally and equally, believers or not, sinners or not.

That's because God knows we all are like little children learning to grow up to greater wisdom and maturity at our own personal pace, and along the way we will naturally make poor choices.

But God will not judge, because only by us experiencing the strong contrast of both good and evil will we gradually learn to choose good.

The doors to God's love will always be open, never ever closed.
