Quoting: Anonymous Coward 82743845 I tested it, don't get it. GOT: Blocking tracking ads? Yes Blocking invisible trackers? Yes Protecting you from fingerprinting? Your browser has a unique fingerprint your browser sends a set of information which is not unique in itself but combined with IP range or location can identify you to a certain confidence level. GLP uses browser fingerprints in its IP bans. Quite often a different browser will circumvent an existing ban. . There is no indication that GLP utilizes fingerprinting. If they did, it would be apparent. They just block ips. nope. i've circumvented bans with a different browser ONLY. they instituted it three or four years ago because they're banning too many IPs to stay in business. . you don't have to switch browsers. just close your browser, get a different ip and open your browser again. works every time. |

Stopped using Chrome and it's probably terrible. "Your browser fingerprint appears to be unique among the 213,905 tested in the past 45 days. Currently, we estimate that your browser has a fingerprint that conveys at least 17.71 bits of identifying information." WHat's that mean...I accept cookies and stuff all the time. Don't care really. Yandex browser. It seems everyone is unique. What does it say for the part above it with user agents? But don't post your ip probably Lol...my full name, addie and phone is on GLP and I have trolls who know my IP "USER AGENT Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/100.0.4896.160 YaBrowser/22.5.2.615 Yowser/2.5 Safari/537.36 WHAT IS THIS? A web header that relays information to the web server about your browser and its version. HOW IS THIS USED IN YOUR FINGERPRINT? This information can be very specific. If customized can single-handedly identify a specific user’s browser. Bits of identifying information: 12.46 One in x browsers have this value: 5631.24" Ok thanks that's pretty similar I guess it doesn't mean anything. LARP account |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 82743845 Because it gives your results but doesn't tell you how to hide it all. There has never been "anonymity". Not even POTS to BBS, obviously. VPNs are a joke, honeypots. Read the fine print. I am a meat popsicle. And the Devil's Uncle. *Mostly* Harmless. |

They wouldn't even be able to learn what browser you were using if your device were truly protected. It wouldn't even know you were there. You'd be a virtual ghost online. This is like an old trick from the 90s. Come on man! |

One tab is for my gmail account. The other tab is set to Youtube, specifically to this channel. Hahahahaha. It really fucks with them! Everything else is done using Brave and it's been that way for two years now. Google can eat shit. There was a day way way back when I was a beta-tester for these asswipes. I thought Google was the best thing since sliced bread back then. But today, I seek forgiveness for helping them achieve their nefarious goals. |
