Well he's certainly never been a trump supporter. And trump was forced to take him as his vp by romney's nice ronna romney mcdaniels or else, regardless of the vote, she'd have found a way to not have trump as the nominee.

That romney, cheney wing of the republican party is all closet conservative democrats. Pence is doing exactly as you'd expect. He could not even get votes when he ran in the republican party, everyone dislikes him so he's trying to parlay his term as the vp for trump into the presidency. He has to know that the people only tolerated him because they had trump. He has to know he can't win and that people really dislike him. So, the only conclusion is that he'll get the nomination and lose so that biden can remain president.
