Look for a nuclear exchange to be suddenly stopped | |

My thoughts, strictly conjecture but based on research, is as follows: Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83524796 The “aliens” have been telling nearly every human that they have met, contacted or abducted over the last 70+ years that we need to rid ourselves of nuclear weapons. I went into this in some small detail in a post that I made on another thread this evening, here: Thread: Nuclear collider linked to exploding stars? My theory is this: Earthly geopolitics will, one not-too-far-off day, reach the boiling point, and a nuclear exchange will begin (if you have been following the news, you realize that the odds of such a horror occurring have recently been raised greatly). Enough warning will be able to go out that the masses will be in an utter panic. As the missiles reach their apogee and begin their descent towards their targets and the humanity within them, great numbers of UFOs will appear, and will proceed to destroy and/or deactivate every single incoming missile. They will intercept wave after wave until they have ceased being launched. At this point, they will disclose their presence to the world in the clearest fashion possible, whatever that may entail. What happens afterwards is anyone’s guess, but I would offer a warning: those who get you out of a jam are not necessarily your friends, and may have ulterior motives that you cannot even begin to imagine. Nice fairy tale. When the nukes fly, your going to get vaporized with the rest of us. Tuff luck chump. |

Nice fairy tale. When the nukes fly, your going to get vaporized with the rest of us. Tuff luck chump. The real punchline is far worse. The nuclear strikes won't end the world. Nuclear winter was always a myth, one everyone agreed to not loudly debunk: it was a good myth for the people to believe in. Even the most modern and advanced nukes don't live up to the hype. The radioactive fallout is minimal as well, so long as they detonate at the most 'efficient' altitude. Industrial districts will be destroyed, port hubs will be flattened. Major logistical hubs will be gone. Meanwhile 70%+ of the population will remain, having memories they'll never forget, the bright flash in the distance, the awkward silence as the wisdom of youth counts the passing seconds between the lightning and thunder to know how far away the storm is. The bulk of the death will come in the weeks that follow. Not from lingering wounds or dreaded radiation but from the starvation of a country with shattered logistics. The true terror of it all will be that the genie will be out of the bottle for good. No longer will fear of the end of the world halt further nuclear exchanges. The true cost will be known, and that cost is cheap. |

I wrote the above a while back, under a different IP address. Given the current situation, I felt in needed to be bumped. Either an all-out nuclear exchange, or being rescued by demons; that is a true Hobson’s choice, if there ever was one. |
