Interesting that blue outline on the map looks just like the area I imagined would get chunked out and bring the ocean closer to Atlanta.

Re: Earthquake Georgia USA and update *South Carolina earthquake swarm
My brother lives on Canoochee Rd, partially circled in the center circle. He claims to have felt it, but this was in the middle of the night around 4am, and he could just have told my mom that. I find it hard to believe, but then again I've never been through an earthquake to know if a 3.9 would wake you out of bed. Granted, he is right next to the center you have circled. So, he may not be lying...

Why question someone's experience like that? Thank You for sharing.

No question a 3.9 could wake you up. I was once in one about that size, I was in bed and I thought my kid had come into my room and was shaking the bed. Woke up to hangers clanking in the closet and the quake on the news soon after.

Earthquake Swarm Rattles South Carolina

Clip-
Since Dec. 21, the U.S. Geological Survey has recorded about 40 earthquakes in central South Carolina ranging in magnitude from 1.3 to 3.6. Five were magnitude 3.0 or higher. The strongest happened Wednesday near the town of Elgin, which is an area where all of the recent stronger earthquakes have happened.
