Here is a thought about AI. I used to work in aerospace, on those really complicated CNC machines used to make precision components. The thing is about those machines, is they break down ALOT. And when they do, they require a lot of troubleshooting by humans, and when you finally DO isolate the problem, more often than not, it can be an electrical component that nobody makes anymore, so it has to be upgraded and retrofitted, still MORE troubleshooting. Lots of phone calls, waiting for the part, installing, more phone calls. Then IF you are lucky, you get it working again. My point is, its going to be a long time before you have robots that can fix other robots. The only way I see that working is if EVERYTHING is standardized and modularized to the point parts are mostly interchangeable, and that in itself will take decades. Even then, a robot won't be an easy replacement, for say a machinist, because making things takes SKILL, IE experience, which is gained by learning, often over very long periods of time, performing operations with a fixed timeframe. So I think AI can maybe replace some office workers and burger flippers, but its going to be a very long time before they can get robots to replace skilled tradesman and workers who require a long period of learning.
