Seems like some places like Amazon have garnered some items totally ...holding the reins on all sales/shipping for said item. One of which I want/need. Been to a lot of local stores and specialty vitamin stores and no one has it except places like Amazon. Even Sprouts didn't have it. Last Edited by TexasWind100 on 06/16/2022 01:12 PM |

They advertise a monthly rate but no where could I find any reference to paying a tax. This is apparently a hidden surprise. I don't like money surprised unless its good and pleasing. This is irritating. Customer service says everyone is paying a tax and it is different in every state. Well, duh....but hey. They should be saying.... the monthly charge for prime is xxxx PLUS TAX. It isn't there in the advertisement. Last Edited by TexasWind100 on 06/16/2022 01:19 PM |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 70433155 United States 06/16/2022 01:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Is it $14.99 a month or is it Quoting: 26Degrees $14.99 PLUS TAX? AND HOW MUCH TAX? I cannot find any reference to tax or how much it is. Thank you I paid $149.43 in one chunk on May 7, 2022 for the year. They went up without notifying me before they charged the card. Last year, I paid $127.39 for the year. I joined Prime in 2012 for $79. It used to be 2 day UPS delivery. Now, it can take up to a week...even with prime. (We live out in the sticks so I guess they think we are not worth it.) If you order a lot, and Amazon is the only place you can get it, it's worth it. If not, don't do it. I will most likely cancel Prime after this year, seeing how much everything is going up. Heck, there probably won't be anything to buy by that time!! |

I don't know...maybe my eyes are failing me. Yearly: $139. at $14.99 yearly = $179.88 at $16.23 yearly = $194.76 Difference between one a year max and at $16.23 = $55.76 give or take a few little ole pennies of tax. You pay almost $200 a year by paying by month rather than paying for the full year up front. Yeah...they are just making money on what the market will bear and okay I'm not arguing about that. I am arguing the misleading information where they don't tell you that the monthly rate IS PLUS TAX....AND HOW MUCH THAT TAX IS. |

If Amazon shows $14.99 then that's what Amazon eventually gets... Fed Tax is $0.06 per dollar.. the same tax you pay on EVERYTHING else... some states charge a state income tax or internet transaction tax too... they can't post 5 different prices.. Amazon doesn't tax you genius. ffs |

However, if the online retailer is selling an item to a customer outside of its home state, then it is not required to collect sales tax from that customer. Three purchases per month costs more for shipping than the Prime monthly fee. They give you a crummy streaming internet channel to watch too with 50-year-old movies for "free." |
