Long ago, I purchased some cloth pads that snap onto the underwear. You wash them in the washing machine (just as people used to wash diapers, which is probably another thing that will go missing, FYI). A small supply of them in your underwear drawer is insurance that you will never be caught unaware by shortages of tampons OR pads. They always felt much more healthy/breathable than any plastic/paper cheap, store bought, disposable.
