They told me she had a bad fever and had to go to the infirmary. I remember spending that entire day terrified and too scared to ask anyone for anything because people didn't usually come back from the infirmary if they had a fever. There was a woman on the hall who said she would do mom things for me while mine was gone, but she wasn't my mom. Finally, after it was dark, someone realized I had been thirsty most of that evening and they brought me to this utility closet room where the drinks were stored and gave me an apple juice. I'll never forget how it tasted. I remember everything from that day. I was 3. Fear, abandonment, and freaking apple juice. I don't know what lies they told you, but I can promise they were lies. There's a fine line between training, trauma, and torture. |

I remember standing at the door as he loaded his shit into an old light blue Ford F150. Just screaming and yelling for him to stay. And the cocksucker wonders why forty-four years later I'll celebrate his fucking death! I mean, big ass cheeseburger and drinks at Kilkenny's on Cherry Street in Tulsa. Kick back a brew and ring a bell to the death of one of the most vile people I've ever known. |

I was the first to find her and when I ran to find my older sister I could hardly get the words out to alert her and get my mother some help. Your BigSister has some sage advice and opinions to offer characterized by wisdom, prudence, and good judgment through reflection and experience if you will receive it. |

Everything User ID: 80628258 United States 06/15/2022 09:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I sure it causes brain damage, it may cause different types of problems though. I just worked mine out, maybe 2 years ago, I was three, and it had to do with blood and other problem or trauma caused a mix-up of where the blood and a woman's voice saying it did hurt, it did, it was a voice I didn't recognizes, and I had reoccurring dreams since childhood, turned out it had nothing to do with any of the others. I was tongue-tied they didn't know until I was three years old, they had the doctor to see if there was a problem, being tongue-tied is your tongue is attached underneath, and you can't form word to speak plain. They had to do minor surgery, and it was in the doctor's office, the nurse was the one who told me not to cry that it didn't hurt, the blood was on some gauze. Just goes to show, something's are not in the same traumas. I remember since I was a tiny bit under two years old, not perfectly, but a lot of memories are still there. I had dreams until I worked through them, by determination I was tired of those recurring dream. Likewise, I was molested also, but unlike some I worked through it. I had been rescued by someone, and he beat the living daylight out of the one who did it. This help a lot, I was a little child, I did no wrong he did. I even forgive him, he needed to get beat and more, but I forgive him. Sorry I got a headache These are the times that tries men's and women's souls! May we come though it victorious! |

Little red ant comes along, and I in my little kid way talked to the ant, saying: "Hello little ant, I won't hurt you!" and then the little bastard stung me on the finger. It hurt; though as an adult it would probably be nothing at all. Still, respect nature! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83042756 I was 5, and he’s now successful, I’m not, and my mom wont hear it because he’s got success and a family, something I don’t. I was ostracized from my family when I told them and wish I never had. Wow that's FUCKED. This world sometimes, man. |

User ID: 8080014 United States 06/15/2022 09:35 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That's a tough one since there were so many in my dysfunctional childhood back in the 1950's. Here are 4 distinct memories that all happened when I was 4-6: 1. Being chased by a Bullsnake before my Dad killed it with a hoe. That same spring I saw my first tornado from about a mile away as we all dashed to a neighbor's house for shelter... and everybody just yelled to "keep up!" instead of helping me. I've never been so terrified since. I learned a little bit about the survival of the fittest that day. 2. Watching my parents/brothers brutally slaughtering Chickens and laughing/joking as they sprayed the blood everywhere. My Brother was especially sadistic that day as he put the bird's necks under a pipe, stood on it and jerked their body up, entrails dangling as the head was ripped from the body... and my Mom cackled at his creativity. More innocence lost. 3. Crying when I didn't want to go to church one Sunday and having my Mother yell, "shut up or I'll really give you something to bawl about!" -and then slamming a car door on my hand to prove her point... a few minutes later she was singing hymns and acting like nothing had ever happened as I whimpered in the pew next to her. That was the day I learned to hate not only church but also religion. And I have a crooked little finger to this day as a constant reminder of when I first understood how close cruelty and hypocrisy really are. 4. Having my brother [who was ten years older] walk up to me one day holding a single-edged razor blade and saying, "I think I'll cut you" before he sliced open a gash on my leg. I still have a 3" scar to prove it. Oddly,I don't remember the pain, only the anger I felt as he walked away laughing, leaving me bleeding on the floor. And you'd better believe I have several more memories just like those. Meanwhile, while all this was happening I'd watch TV shows like LEAVE IT TO BEAVER, see very different families and wonder what I had done so wrong to end up in my own. And it wasn't until I was in my 50's -and after a couple of years of therapy- that I was finally able to shed that notion. Last Edited by GSB/LTD on 06/15/2022 09:41 AM |

That would definitely be my answer to this I hated having to go for that. I'll give the doctor credit he was probably as careful as could be and it's ironic everyone has now had to go through this some people dozens of times for covid swabs. Luckily I only had to be swabbed once since the pandemic. |
