As a fellow writer I was given some advice to “kill your darlings”, I didn’t like it much but it can help. You kill off an unnecessary storyline,character, or even just a sentence that ends up improving the whole, also, the suspense of an unfinished story actually adds drama to the mix, so waiting breathlessly for …the rest of the story! |
