I got 5 bucks this morning from a guy on my walk back from the quick mart where I buy my sandwich.

I only asked him if he "had a dollar"!

I am an excellent beggar.

My husband and I spend about $170-$200 a week on groceries for the two of us. It's all from a "health food store" and we buy a lot of vegetables, a little fruit, a little meat- my husband eats a little bit of it, I am a vegetarian- not a vegan- so I eat milk, butter, eggs, cheese. The meat my husband eats is chicken, tuna or salmon mostly- a couple times a week. We buy few snacks like chips, ice cream or candy. Buy occasional root beer- no constant sodas, nor alcohol beverages. We eat potatoes of various kinds, legumes, pasta, a little rice once in a while. A loaf of bread lasts all week, sometimes buy tortillas for use in making food/snacks. The $170-$180 a week is our food only- does not include eating out, other items like cleaning products, toilet paper, etc. which we buy at the grocery store, or pet food for our dogs.
