Oil companies do not set the price of oil. That has been debunked multiple times. 'Big Oil' does not produce enough oil to overcome what is produced by the rest of the world and control the price of a barrel of oil, which is mostly nationalized oil production.

Socialists mostly complain about 'Big Oil' setting the oil price, but it is nationalized oil production mostly setting the price. The blame goes squarely on government controlled oil production.

If Big Oil set the price, they could charge $4.00/gallon all the time (not just when DemoKKKrats are in office) and make record profits when the cost of oil is low.

When gas approached $4.00 under Bush he threatened to drill ANWR and the price of oil plummeted. We didn't even drill ANWR. Biden doesn't want gas prices to go down. He would ease restrictions that he put in place (that TRUMP had previously ended) if he wanted to force the price down. He could also pretend he wanted to drill ANWR - but the political ramifications of even suggesting that (even with no intention of following thru) would be too damaging to their stance on oil in general and ANWR most of all.

The Oil Companies do not set the price of oil - the oil traders do. Is there a chance the markets are manipulated? Absolutely.

Oil crashed when covid hit because there was going to be less of a demand for gasoline and other materials produced with oil because we were all locked in our houses and nobody was driving and all the stores were closed. When they passed out all the free money (stimulus) inflation was sure to follow....and it has. Paying people more to not work then they would ordinarily earn working a job was the error here.

This is not the oil companies fault, Putin's fault, or any other retarded story they try and sell.

When oil crashed I took all of the stimulus money they gave me and put it straight into oil company stocks.
It wasn't a lot of $$$ but after 2 years it allowed me to quit my job and take 4 months off of my extremely stressful job. I told them to fuck off because I had a "Freedom Fund" and I am using it now!

Sell 1000 gallons of gas at $3.00/gal with a 10% profit = $300 profit.
