I got totally fucked by obamacare since I'm self employed. Made too much money to be eligible for a subsidy until last year when the cutoff income was doubled from $62.5k to $125k. In a few short years, I went from paying $168/mo. to $850/mo. Last year and this year I'm getting $500/mo. subsidy toward the $850.
It sure looked like it was designed to screw middle class independent contractors and small businesses. Communists don't like people who can operate independently of government/big bidness. California/commifornia has tried to outlaw independent contractors.
