My brother lived in Massilon at the time, so it was real close. [link to www.bootlegpedia.com (secure)] I remember they didnt play Sympathy For The Devil. Fireworks show was excellent at the end. I already was a Stevie Wonder fan, and still am! Music of The Mind! Earlier that summer at the Rubber Bowl, I seen Three Dog Night. Allman Brothers cancelled their show that summer too. The lineup that GREAT summer! June 16, Three Dog Night, James Gang June 24, Black Sabbath, Humble Pie, Edgar Winter, Ramatam July 5, Rod Stewart & Faces, Badfinger July 11, Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder July 21, Osmonds, Jan Baker, Heywoods August 5, J. DGO i wish i could've saw a few more of the bands but i did hear the james gang at the ohio state fair and they always played at kent state. what an incredible summer at the rubber bowl except for the people arond the stadium i guess they weren't to happy. must have been a LONG summer for them.
