I started this thread last nite and didn't make much traction. I think the issue is huge. "What other props did you use Mr. McConehey" ? ? etc.

I'm just curious as to how the green Converse shoes shown while Mr. McConaughey was talking are so very clean. I've not watched the entire thing; however, for individuals unable to identify their child's remains but by their shoes -- the shoes would be covered in blood, been walked in on the playground, and scuffed up.

Did the parents have the shoes cleaned? Why would one want to keep that around as a reminder of their child's life?

We're the shoes purchased for display during the speech?
