Anonymous Coward User ID: 83600044 06/08/2022 08:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 2 dozen companies ALREADY have access to this data ?! and they have had access for years?! And they are JUST allowing Musk to see this now as a big concession ? That doesn’t compute . Smells really fishy , overwhelm him with useless data so he can’t find what they are hiding ? |

Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me. Or something |

And they are JUST allowing Musk to see this now as a big concession ? That doesn’t compute . Smells really fishy , overwhelm him with useless data so he can’t find what they are hiding ? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83600044 If all is still there the people who were involved on Jan 6 thing were talking about what to wear and how to act and the men, they had lined up to be pretend police with the right uniforms, etc so they could fool Trumps people outside, they said something to the effect that they wouldn't know who to trust which is exactly what happened. They also could have been the ones who beat that woman to death. I know Antifa was there that day. I recognized some who were at those riots across the country. One I call the director who has no butt and his pants are baggy in the tail area beside his look are a bit weird. He was handing out money to people in the streets during those riots and he was standing on the porch area at the congressional building, showing people where to move to, not Trump visitors. So, they were doing open planning right on Twitter, all they said happened and there are videos of them in action the teargas was most likely Antifa, they have done this before. Some of them have been charged in California for doing this to Trump marchers or some group for Trump, they attacked them and used teargas on them. I guess they have other secrets if they don't delete them. Sorry I got a headache These are the times that tries men's and women's souls! May we come though it victorious! |

That's what this is all about. Free speech, eh Elon? Clever Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72672453 Yeah, whatever it is.... It sure as shit isn't happening to help the average American. Some shady fucking shit going on. I'd bet Lindsey Graham is mixed up in it. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 81999627 United States 06/08/2022 09:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Musk will discover that half of Twitter users are AI bots used to reinforce the leftist echo chamber. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80394329 It’s really possible that Twitter only has a tenth of what they say they do. Not just political bots for every nation on earth, but so many marketeers use link farms and bot farms around the world too. Twitter is just one big mind control platform with a bit of entertainment thrown in. |

He's laying of employees but has a magical 40 odd billion to buy some shitty social media platform that literally no one cares about? Fucking insane. The man's a sideshow putting on a crappy performance for the low brow people of the world. Pathetic. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 83482417 United States 06/08/2022 10:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | WASHINGTON POST – After a weeks-long impasse, Twitter’s board plans to comply with Elon Musk’s demands for internal data by offering access to its full “firehose,” the massive stream of data comprising more than 500 million tweets posted each day, according to a person familiar with the company’s thinking, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe the state of negotiations. Quoting: ELONS CLEANING HOUSE 73847929 That's the key statement right there, "according to a person familiar with the company's thinking". In other words, some random person they talked to on the street who works near silicon valley and has heard the name Twitter before. Another garbage article from the Washington Post. |

User ID: 75738863 United States 06/08/2022 10:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I think most people agree, the request from Elon Musk to see the background data from Twitter, used to evaluate bots and fake accounts, was entirely reasonable. Quoting: ELONS CLEANING HOUSE 73847929 Twitter’s prior position that they would not permit Musk’s team to see the data stream was in ordinary violation of the terms of purchase. It would seem to be commonsense that Musk has every right to inspect the data and evaluate Twitter’s prior assertions. WASHINGTON POST – After a weeks-long impasse, Twitter’s board plans to comply with Elon Musk’s demands for internal data by offering access to its full “firehose,” the massive stream of data comprising more than 500 million tweets posted each day, according to a person familiar with the company’s thinking, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe the state of negotiations. The move aims to end a standoff with the billionaire, who has threatened to pull out of his $44 billion deal to buy Twitter unless the company provides access to data he says is necessary to evaluate the number of fake users on the platform. The firehose could be provided as soon as this week, the person said. Currently some two dozen companies pay for access to the trove, which comprises not only a real-time record of tweets but the devices they tweet from, as well as information about the accounts that tweet. […] Twitter’s leaders are skeptical of Musk’s ability to use the fire hose to find previously undetected information: The data stream has been available for years to some two dozen companies, which pay Twitter for the ability to analyze it to find patterns and insights in the daily conversation. They, along with some analysts and Silicon Valley insiders, say that Musk is using the data requests as a pretext to wiggle out of the deal or to negotiate a lower price. (read more) [link to theconservativetreehouse.com (secure)] This means they think they've hidden the worst of whatever was there... Hopefully Elon is half as smart as we think he is and has already gotten ahold of someone else's firehose captures to run comparisons against. roguetechie |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 83120467 United States 06/08/2022 10:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Twitter is going to give musk some useless bs, to make it look like they are legit. Just search twit with a @randomletters and see how it has been farmed like domain names. Everything was taken up by 2015, and most of those accounts never posted. If you rule out spammers, dead accounts, banned users, typesquatters, posters that post less than once a week, web redirections etc, its probably about 5 percent valid users. The only use twitter serves is to get uncensored news links, sorted by newest first, and before twitter deletes them. And thats a really sad, fucked up usage in the land of the free… |
