I think it simply broadcasts a very powerful noise signal in the control data link frequency bands with a high gain directional antenna. Probably on the GPS frequencies also.

All those capacitors (I assume those green things are capacitors), must charge up and fire a high powered pulse, similar to a pulsed radar transmitter.

The video said Ukraine was running out of electronic components. Not sure if they were talking about capacitors or something else.

It might have happened that quickly, except for a 15 yr old boy that was a drone hobbyist.

The kid acted as a spotter for the UK army that was defending Kiev.

They look like 18650 batteries. It must need high power.

It looks like 900 Mhz is a common control frequency with 2.4 and 5.8 Ghz being used for transmitting video. The microwave bands start at 1.0 Ghz.

Yes, I was thinking they might be batteries as I typed capacitors.

Might just be a basic radio transmitter, cranked up to 11 and broadcasting in the desired frequencies. And using a high gain directional antenna.

I wonder if the operator wears lead underwear to protect his family jewels.

Lead isn't necessary, but a faraday cage would be a good idea. I'd be just as concerned about eyes being affected!

Too bad it's generals have no regard for their own soldiers and prefer hype as a political weapon to line their pockets before being reunited with the country they were originally the capital of for longer than the US has existed
