Because this question is still relevant and the general consensus in this communities on that very question was blurry.
Quoting: uhhuh you get on the ships or your suit of meat is likely not to survive. Most have no concept of survival skills in such a situation if the earth needs to be evacuated.. and if it needs total evacuation for an axis shift.. it has to be evacuated in 2 short hours.. because of the volcanization etc.
