‘Three soldiers have fainted while standing guard outside St Paul's Cathedral today for the Queen's thanksgiving Jubilee service.

The separate incidents happened shortly before Prince Charles, who is officially representing the Queen today, arrived at the cathedral for the special ceremony to kick-off Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Those on duty maintained their professionalism and composure, whilst the three soldiers were each helped back to their feet by aids.’

Always happens they have to stood out there for hours and that is hard especially when it is hot.

Do you understand what standing still at attention and parade rest does to you. it is common in the military even 20 years ago for at least 1 or 2 to fall out and hit the deck every retirement ceremony.

He collapsed because the soldier at the side of him farted. He made a statement. He said the soldier next to him had been farting all morning and that the last two were particularly terrible. And yes, they were beer farts from drinking the evening before.
